Alka Yagnik is one of the most well known voices in Indian cinema. She was born in 1966 and started off her career in 1979 and is still active even today. Her career in singing began at an early age too and before she moved on to film she was regularly featured in the singing sessions at the All India Radio as a child artist since the age of 6. She has as many as twenty entries in the top 50 bollywood songs of all time which speak volumes for her talents and successes.

Kavita Krishnamurthy is one of the most well known faces in the word of Indian playback singing. She was born in 1958 and started off her singing career in 1980. She is also a recipient of the Padma Shree which is one of the highest honors in the country. Besides singing in Indian cinema she has also carved out a career for herself as a fusion artist and has worked with a lot of different musical composers.
